How do I book an experience day?
All experience days must be pre-booked by calling 01845 587522 during our centre opening hours. Our team will help you find a suitable date.
How will my gift voucher be delivered?
Gift vouchers are sent by Royal Mail. If you need it sooner, we can provide an e-voucher on request.
How long are gift vouchers valid?
Gift vouchers are valid from 1st March 2026 to 31st October 2026 and must be used within this period.
When do experience days run?
Experience days run on most days of the week — including weekends — throughout our open season. Pre-booking is essential.
Are your experience days suitable for beginners?
Yes — absolutely. No previous experience is required. Our knowledgeable and friendly bird staff guide you throughout the day.
How many people are in each group?
We keep group sizes small – ruffly 6 people to ensure plenty of hands-on flying time and personal attention.
Can experience days be given as gifts?
Yes — they make very popular Birthday and Christmas gifts for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts.
What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for the weather, as experiences take place outdoors.
What happens if the weather is poor?
Experience days still run in most weather conditions, but safety always comes first. If conditions are unsuitable such as strong winds or heavy rain, we will rearrange your booking.
Can I take photographs during my visit?
Yes — we are happy for guests to take photos of our birds and their experience. Please follow our photography policy and any guidance given by staff on the day to ensure safety and bird welfare.
Places are limited to keep groups small and personal — early booking is recommended.
